As Sting’s Mental Performance Coach, Bizzie offers individual sessions to players within the club that want to work through sport-related mental struggles, or want to increase their overall performance and mental skills.
Areas that can be addressed include:
Bizzie will introduce to players and teams a variety of interventions that include goal setting for motivation, self-talk and mental imagery, increasing concentration and focus in performance, communication skills, team building and time-management. Although Bizzie does work full-time as a mental health therapist outside of Sting, she will distinguish herself in this role as a mental performance consultant only, and will work specifically on mental struggles as they relate to sport.
Bizzie has been a coach with Sting since 2018, and was a player with the club from 2005-2011. She went on to play at NCAA DII Assumption College from 2011-2015, and received her Master’s in Education in Counseling and Sports Psychology from Boston University in 2018.
